Chapter 21: You Shouldn't Look Beautiful

The couple becomes the center of attention at the party, and Ellen basks in the compliments from several women. However, to his surprise, the guests also begin to praise his wife, which makes him feel uncomfortable. Ellen did not expect her to receive such admiration, nor did he desire it, and the attention she receives begins to bother him.

"Wow! She is gorgeous!" As a young man compliments Ellen's wife, Ellen shoots him a sharp glare. The man quickly raises his hands to signal peace. Ellen scoffs in annoyance as the compliments on his wife begin to pour in, making him increasingly uncomfortable. Mrs. John comes to them and showers her daughter-in-law with love and affection.

"My baby is looking so gorgeous." She says, holding Judy's chin softly.

"Thanks, mom." She smiles at her.

"I thought you'd get angry." Judy blurts it out.

"Why do even I, when my daughter-in-law is a princess from the outside and a queen from the inside?" As Ellen meets Isabella's gaze, he senses a sudden shift
