The private jet landed and the rays of the sun hit Veronica’s face as she stepped out first. “What is this place?” She looked around and Aries smiled standing right behind her.

“Quick!” Aries pushed, and she stepped down the stairs of the plane quickly. Aries wore his blue shades, and the bodyguards opened the door of the limousine for them. Veronica felt her heart thumping in her chest as their car hit the unknown road.

“Are you going to kill me?” She looked in Aries’s direction and he gave her a ridiculous look.

“You went to one of the most dangerous Mafias in the country and now you’re worried about your life with me?” He lifted an eyebrow, emphasizing more on the last word, and Veronica looked down. “I don’t believe this!” Aries looked out of the window, deeply hurt by the look of doubt in her eyes.
