Renia's POV.

I am the one tending to his wounds and yet I am the one flinching. Raphael doesn't look the least bit affected by his burst lips. He didn't even so much as flinch when I applied the methylated balm.

"Why didn't you tell me that they already knew?" I asked him and he shrugged.

“I knew you would find out in time besides they only found out recently.” He said.

I hummed and applied the ointment on his bruise before pulling back and washing my hand. He was still sitting in the same position on the edge of the bathing tub staring at me.

“I am sorry about my dad. He has never lost his temper like that.” I said.

He nodded. “It is fine. I had it coming. I can imagine how long he must have been keeping it in.” He said.

“Right. You did deserve it.” I said wiping my hand off the little towel in my bathroom.

“Right.” He mumbled and then stared at me awkwardly as if he wasn’t sure of what to do or even say next. He looked around the bathroom and back to me and I raised my eyebr
