"So what's up with your work?" I asked Jace as I chewed on a burger.
He smiled, and glimpsed at me. "It's fine. I've just been kinda lazy at work these days. I seriously don't understand why."
"Lazy?" I huffed. "How can you be lazy? You seem to work on your laptop all the time."
"I'm lazy because of you." He winked at me.
I chuckled, and took another bite of my burger. "I want to tell you something," I announced.
"What's that?" He still focused on his laptop.
"Well…" I sighed. "Since my mom is quite better, I want to visit her for two days."
"Two days?" He raised an eyebrow at me. "What will you do there?"
"Hem, I'll help her out. I haven't seen my mom in a month. So why does two days matter?" I questioned him, a little confused.
