Chapter 39: At the Balcony

I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw that there was still a bottle of Chateau Margaux wine there. I remembered that it was a gift from Marcus, and I really didn't drink it because it was quite expensive. Now I can open it and drink it because it would be a shame if I had a Christianous Smith drink ordinary wine.

"You saved me tonight," I whispered into the wine.

Feeling so relieved, I hugged it, but when I remembered that Cristiano was with me in the condo, my heart started pounding again. I took a deep breath before taking two wine glasses from there and returning to the living room, where I left Cristiano.

When I saw Cristiano sitting quietly on the sofa where I left him earlier, I felt my cheeks heat up. His back was leaning there while one of his thighs rested on his knee. He wasn't doing anything else there, and it was as if he were just bent over, as if he were deep in thought.
