Chapter 56: His Perfume

That was a lot of fruit, and I was suddenly hungry, even early. I saw that it had no effect on Janeth, so I took some and also ate while signing my papers.

Just a few moments later, my phone rang, so I immediately looked at it. It was just a text, but Liam had a message, so I immediately read it because it might be important.

From Liam:

I hope you like the fruits. Eat all of that to keep you and the baby healthy.

I smiled because those were from him. I suddenly remembered his suggestion last night that he should marry me and take on the responsibility that Cristiano should do. I don't want that to happen because I'm sure Liam and our friendship will be wasted if we get married to each other. I want him to be happy, and he will not be happy when I become his wife.

I'd rather suffer than see him hurt because of me.

To Liam:

Yeah, I received it. Thanks Liam!

I put my phone aside when I was able to reply to him and continued what I was doing. I just signed and signed again there,
