Chapter Fifty Five

All of my classmates celebrated finishing our last exam this semester, but I can't help but worry as days pass without Alex calling. Will our plans still push through? Time with him is running out.

After the exam, I left the building exhausted. I decided to rest, having gone several nights with little sleep due to distracting thoughts of Alex. Luckily, I managed to answer the exam questions despite the distractions.

I had to walk several kilometers before reaching my car, as my driver was a bit too far. Along the way, I stopped by street food stalls, checking my phone for messages, but none from Alex or even Shena. I wondered about Shena's exam.

Suddenly, someone grabbed my arm forcefully in a dark alley. I resisted and managed to step on the person's foot with my heeled school shoes. He groaned in pain, and I quickly ran, heart pounding with fear.

"Wait!" he shouted, pursuing me, but I increased the distance. Unexpectedly, I bumped into someone and fell backward, feeling intense pain
