Episode 4

Oliver groaned as he shifted in his position, he had no idea how he landed face flat on the floor, waking him up almost immediately, he blinked a couple of times taking in his unfamiliar environment, he remembered being at their company’s anniversary dinner where he was announced heir but he grimaced painfully as other memories of the previous night sink in.

“Crap” He cursed under his breath as he recalled being taken over by Rio his second personality. “What have you done this time Rio?” He wondered, his eyes running and studying the room. An unfamiliar environment, strange apartment, weird arrangement…it was something he was completely unfamiliar to. Then the door behind him creaked open and he snapped his head in the direction of it. Lifting his body up so fast that it startled the unfamiliar person walking out of the door.

“Oh, you’re up-

“Who are you? What did you do to me? Did you kidnap me? Let me tell you you’re making a very big mistake” He rambled nervously shutting the stranger off, as he stood defensively, completely terrified of his new surrounding.

“Um, what?” The lady looked surprised and this only made Oliver fume the more, he had no idea who the woman was because his damn illness always leave a gap in his memory and he hated that and because of how he grew up, being abducted a couple of times made it impossible for him to stay still and calm his raging nerve even if the woman standing in front of him was obviously defenseless. “Excuse me? That wasn’t funny-

“I wasn’t joking with you either, You’re gonna let me go right now or you’re gonna spend the rest of your life in prison” Oliver threatened, hoping the woman will change her mind and let him on his way. The woman gave a small laugh and then head in the direction of the kitchen. What was she doing? Will she pull a gun out? Will she decide he was not useful after all and end him once and for all? He wasn’t gonna let that happen.

“Who sent you? Is it my sister? Are they asking you to keep me here-

“Did the drink get to your head last night or you’re just an incredibly good actor performing a piece for me in the morning because I’m not so thrilled to watch your…thriller, if it isn’t comedy” The woman snickered uncomfortably. Drink? What drink? Then his eyes found the empty beer cans on the dinner table and empty boxes of pizza, did…did he eat those? He wondered trying to pull the memory from whatever depth he shoved it but…Rio that bastard wasn’t letting him. He never let him access his memory, that forsaken crap, he thought hoping he could remember even a little of the previous night's incident.

“You really do not remember?” The woman narrowed her eyes at him in a suspicious way. What the hell? He couldn’t have more people knowing about his disorder, he imagined chaos at the company for what happened at the ceremony the previous day, and now, this woman? Who was she? He had no idea…except for the massive confusion hitting him hard like a hurricane, his head was starting to hurt, he was probably hangover since the woman said he drank, but why did he drink? Rio was a part of him he wished didn’t exist and would always try to suppress, because he had a knack for getting him into trouble.

Was he trying to get laid with this woman, with his body? What exactly did he do? He had questions, one he couldn’t pressure the girl to answer since that might raise suspicion about his health, he wasn’t gonna let that happen.

“Look, I don’t care what happened between us yesterday but that’s it…it’s over-

“What the fuck!?” The woman snickered and narrowed her eyes at him in an angry glare.

“Here I am thinking you’re one decent guy but you’re just like the rest of them aren’t you?” She sounded annoyed and her question, sounded suspicious. Something definitely did happen between the woman and Rio, he concluded and clenched his fists, fuck that bastard…he thought angry how he had used his body as he liked, though he was still perfectly clothed, but few of the buttons in his button-up shirts were undone, his pants rumpled and his suit was nowhere in sight.

The woman was still meticulously glaring at him, when her doorbell rang, she walked from behind the kitchen counter and advanced to get the door, though he was now convinced the woman didn’t abduct him but rather spent the night with him…technically not him but still him, he relaxed but was still defensive.

“Excuse me?” A familiar voice say and shoved the woman aside barging energetically into her home.

“Hey, what do you think you’re doing? Get out of my house” The woman protested furiously but her persistent complaints fall on deaf ears as Oliver’s bodyguards rushed to his side.

“Sir?-

“Took you fucking long enough” Oliver spat at them in annoyance. His phone had a tracker and he could feel it in his pocket, it annoyed him to no end that they could have come get him sooner but they didn’t, leaving him to suffer the most humiliating moment of his life. The woman was bewildered but he didn’t care because now he would no longer be in his company. Thinking it was rude to just leave the woman, Oliver reached into his pocket and whipped out his wallet, and pull up all of his cash which was around 20 thousand bucks.

“Here, for the damages” He smiled at her leaving it on her tea table next to her sofa before following out the five bodyguards that had come for him.

Andrea had never felt more insulted in her life, having to witness that scene the moment she woke up, some hours ago, she thought the guy was gentlemanly, handsome and hot, though he was still handsome and hot but his shitty personality didn’t make him appear all that gentlemanly to her anymore, it sucked out all that appealing charisma she had earlier noticed in one go…her home was a mess after he left with his barricade of guards but that wasn’t the only thing probing her nerves, the money he had left on her table was so humiliating and disrespectful, it was hurtful-

“Wait hurt?” She wondered to herself wearing an annoyed looked. She barely even know the guy and he was hurt, fuck! Why does he have to destroy the perfect image I had of him? Andrea thought heaving a heavy sigh as she walked back to her kitchen hoping to get some water which she had intended to get before the whole commotion, but she couldn’t stop wondering. Where did the nice caring man who had stayed and listened to all of her problems go? It was almost like he changed into a completely different person in the morning.

“Forget it, Rea, that’ll teach you not to bring strangers into your home next time” She scolded herself and start preparing herself for work, but while she thought, that was the shittiest thing that could happen to her, well…things were just getting crappy. Andrea got to work to receive rather shocking news from her grandfather.

“What!?” Her jaw dropped in alarm after her grandfather dropped a bomb on her. “What do you mean grandpa…I mean president, move up the wedding up?” She scoffed detecting her lying Fiance at work.

“Is that what Danny told you? Grandpa…I’m cancelling the wedding not moving it up” She corrected almost giving the old man a heart attack.

“What-

“Grandpa, Danny pursued me for your money, he never cared about me, the only reason why he was with me was that he knew you were going to leave the company to him, he took out a huge loan from some sham investments, and now he thinks once he gets the fund you sets up for me he’ll be able to pay it off, I found all these out and that is why I’m cancelling the wedding” She gabbled, explaining things so fast she forgot to catch her breath.

The over 70-year-old man narrowed his eyes at his granddaughter, completely shocked by her explanation. He wasn’t sure he could believe that, Danny had always acted so perfectly to him, he was a diligent worker, an excellent talker.

“You can’t just decide he doesn’t love you after some disagreement, even a blind man could see he truly cared about you-

“But that’s it, gramps! He doesn’t care about me…what he cared about was his perfect reputation and how he could get you to approve him as your heir, now that I think back…it all started four years ago, when I said I won’t be taking over the company that I prefer designing rather than leading, it was the same time you told me to get married quickly then that way my husband could take over, it was that same time Danny approached me, gramps, it’s not a coincidence, and even if it is…the wedding is off until I say so” Andrea was panting by the time she was done and her grandfather seems rather taken aback by how vigorously she was against getting married to Danny, not that she had been actively supporting it either, the only person who seems rather excited about it had been Danny and it had made him feel like he was pushing her to make that decision since she knew the responsibility hanging on her shoulders.

But now this, if it was true it was something unthinkable, it meant that boy deceived her granddaughter for years and he would really hate that.

Andrea watched her grandpa’s solemn expression, he knew how he would feel about it, because he had been so eager about it, he was anticipating it, he knew how disappointed he would be but it was something that needed to be one and because of this.

“Gramps, I’ll take over the company,” Her grandfather’s eyes blinked in surprise. Andrea loved being in the studio, she liked crafting ideas and putting life in them, but she knows, she cannot shoulder the responsibility of the company and continue designing but if it means having to save the company from someone like Danny, she doesn’t care and fortunately for her, her grandfather loved to have his blood lead the company that some outsider who thinks he can take all that he worked for.

Christopher Morgan didn’t exactly hate Danny, in fact, he was thankful to him because now his granddaughter will be leading the company in the future but when Danny heard that, he wasn’t exactly happy and left to find Andrea at once but Andrea continue to ignore him till the end of that day knowing he was coming to pressure her to go through with the wedding, since Danny wanted to maintain his reputation, he couldn’t drag her from the other co-workers she surrounded herself with the whole time so he waited, only Andrea still slipped past him.

“Woah” Andrea let out a triumphant shout after she got back to her apartment before the rain starts, she was also glad she managed to slip past Danny who had suddenly become her stalker at the company after hearing from her grandfather she wouldn’t be pushing through with the wedding.

“Crap, I forgot I needed to do grocery shopping” She hissed after getting home to an empty fridge again. “Guess I’ll be taking cereal then,” She thought with her sigh before going into her room where she changed from her pants suit, and blouse to a casual t-shirt and shorts. Andrea was taking her cereal when her eyes find the fresh bills on her table.

“That bastard! All guys are the same!” She gritted spitefully ignoring the heavy lump in her chest but then came the knock on her door. “Who the hell is that? It’s raining heavily outside” She thought out loud lifting herself from her sofa where he had her legs folded as she ate. Her jaw dropped in shock when she opened her door to see a drenched Rio, in pajamas, hair wet.

“What the fuck!?”
