"clap clap clap" everyone is clapping when I finished my presentation. "Thank you so much, everyone. This is my presentation. I want your opinion on this Mr.Anderson" I asked, I was confident because I was already prepared, And I knew how much Mr.Anderson needs a project like mine.

"Very good Aaron. It was such a brilliant project." Mr.Anderson said He looks agreeable to my project in the way he praises the project.

"Yes Aaron, it's a wonderful project," June said Excitedly. The way she is looking at me I knew she is interested in me.

"This project needs lots of money and this hotel is in the countryside. I don't think it makes much profit. So, We shouldn't invest so much money in just one project." My nose scrunched when I hear another feminine voice turn my attention to Rose who retorted while looking at his father.

"Rose, Read the proposal first then give your opinion." Before I could say something Mr.Anderson already replies to Rose. Anger became visible on her face.

"Miss Rose, This hotel will be for people who want to take a break from their busy city life and spend some quality time with their family and loved ones without phones and laptops. So, I am confident that My new hotel give you immense profit than any other project" I smile and assured her. But she is giving me a deadly stare and she is cursing me under her breath.

"Okay, Aaron, let's talk in my office," Mr.Anderson told me and I go with him.

After talking to Mr.Anderson I left his office. I was walking while replying to some mail on my phone. I bumped someone. My phone fell, I grab her waist to protect her from falling on the floor. I look who I save when I saw those familiar big blue eyes, I immediately recognized Rose. "What the hell, Can't see what is in front of you. These eyes are made to see and not to decorate." She yelled at me. What kind of girl is she, I saved her from falling and She is telling me I am the Wrong one. I looked at her angrily. "Okay, I was not looking while walking but you should look up while walking. The fault is yours too." "This is my office. I can walk while opening or closing my eyes, you should admit fault, but you are blaming me." She furiously said. I shook my head helplessly This girl is crazy.

"AARON" I see June who was in front of us. I smile at her. "We didn't get a chance to talk," She said with a shy expression.

"Oh, Hello, Miss June" We handshake. I was thankful to her that if she didn't come I don't know what will I do with this stubborn and crazy girl.

"Do you remember me?" She asked.

I narrow my eyes did I sleep with her as well? I don't think I did."Did we meet somewhere be--" I didn't finish "PFT" I looked at Rose who was trying to control her laugh.

"Look like you are not worth remembering June, I am sorry, Mr.Patterson. But I have some work to do, So it's nice to meet you" Rose says, I am amazed at how fast she changes her tone from arrogant to gentle with me.

"Ignore her, She is just an attention seeker. We study same high school. I was your junior" I literally don't remember her.

"I don't have many memories of my high school. So, It will be difficult to remember them. Why don't we start with new happy memories, Miss June" I told her. She is blushing. I hope her High School crush doesn't cost me much.

Next day In Patterson-

I was looking at some files when I hear an office door knock. "Come in,"

My dad enters the office.

"Good morning dad," I greet him

"Morning," dad greets me back.

"I receive a call from Mr.Anderson. He was praising you" Dad said.

'Ohh, Okay. Did he tell you when he is going to sign the project" I asked Dad?

Then he cleared his throat and said.

"He agrees to sign the project but there is a condition"

"What Condition" I narrow my eyes in annoyance. What is that old fag thinking?

"He wants you to marry his daughter June Anderson"

I stand up from my seat "Is he crazy, I am giving him chance to revive his financial condition and he is putting conditions"

"You know Aaron, It's almost impossible that someone put so much money into just one project it quite risky. Mr.Anderson agrees to do." I state the fact that I know but try to neglect.

"Dad just decline him, I don't want to marry his daughter" I just refused.

"Aaron, Think like the businessman it's your dream project. He is one of the biggest investors. So, take your time to decide." Dad said. Dad is a businessman he knows how to talk at the table.

"Dad declines them I am not going to change my decision," Aaron said

Dad didn't say anything. "Aaron, Just--" "Please Dad, I don't want to be like you and mom" When I said Dad's expression changed.

" I just leave it up to you Aaron, I know you're more than capable to know what's Good for you and what's good for the company," He said and left.

I just seat on my chair and put my elbows on the table and face in his hand this is fucking frustrating.

Evening

Aaron reached the bar to see Kane is already flirting with the girl. Aaron seat beside him and order a drink for him.

Kane turns my way and takes his drink.

"Bad day?" Kane asked

" Worst," I said while sipping my drink.

"What happened?" Kane asked.

"That old fag Mr.Anderson has some guts to put conditions for me," I said in annoyance.

"Someone putting conditions to your project. he must be unaware of how you work"

"The most thing that annoys me is my dad never disappoints me with his surprise, He seems to agree to be with him," I said sipping my drink.

"What are the conditions of Mr.Anderson?" Kane asked

"Guess," I want to know worst what he can think.

"No Idea" He surrenders.

I sighed "he asked me to marry Mr.Anderson's daughter June"

"Whattttt with June Anderson,?" Kane asked

"yes, Do you know her? She told me she is our junior in high school" I asked to him

"Well, Who doesn't know them, man, they are crazy sisters," Kane said.

Aaron was about to ask him more but their friend joe and henry and their girlfriends Arrived.

A Week later

It's been a week since I was looking for other investors who can invest but no one is agreed to Invest a large sum of money in just one project.

Mom, Dad, Mia, and I are having breakfast. We have a silent breakfast and dinner when you see you can feel that some funeral going on. It doesn't feel at home at all now.

"Aaron I want to ask you about Mr. Anderson's proposal. if you decided anything just tell me I will talk to Mr. Anderson." Dad again brings up the topic that I was ignoring. But I have to face reality, I have to get married someday so why not now. For me, it's my dream project on which I was working for four years. I won't let my hard work go in vain.

So I don't see any point in declining Mr. Anderson's proposal.

"What proposal you are talking about?" Mom asked dad.

"Marriage proposal," Dad replied.

Mom looked at me with a concerned face she know how much I hate arranged marriages. I nodded toward her and give her an assured smile.

I look up and see Mia she looked like someone take her breath away from her. I feel guilty about what I did to Mia. Aaron closed his eyes and said to dad.

"I don't have any problem with marrying Mr.Anderson's daughter but I want to meet her first then I will decide,"

"Okay I will invite them tomorrow night for Dinner," Dad told us.

After breakfast mom and me sitting there. I looked at mom. she is smiling and her face beamed this is such a long time since I see her so happy. She patted my arm "Are you sure?" she asked.

"Yes, I am, mom," I assured her.

"Meet her and talk to her, if you don't like her then don't marry her, I will always support you whatever decision you will make," She said and kissed my forehead.

I hug her "I know mom you will always be there for me, I love you," Aaron said with a smile.

"I love you too, Aaron," Her voice is gigging.

At office-

"I say yes to the Marriage proposal with Mr. Anderson's daughter," Kane spit the coffee when I told him this. His glare me

"Why did you do this?" Kane asked while raising his eyebrow.

"Do I have options? No one is going to invest in my project. And in the morning I see mom so happy after such a long time." I try to convince but don't know him or myself.

"What about you? Are you happy" I asked.

It Doesn't matter for me to marry her or someone else what makes difference? Come to my home, man, you will feel like someone has died in my home?" I told him.

"No, You can't just marry anyone. You should marry someone you love" Kane gave me advice.

"There is no love, Kane, I always thought mom and dad love each other but see dad doesn't love her. They have been married for twenty-eight years and their relationship seems broken to me. So love doesn't exit Kane," "Best of luck then," Kane with me.
