Of course, you cook better

After dinner, Maria sat contentedly on the sofa. She noticed Charles sitting beside her and smiled, "How was it? I'm not a bad cook, am I?"

Charles nodded, “Not bad."

With Maid Heather approaching, Maria leaned on Charles and asked playfully,

"Who cooks better, me or Maid Heather?"

Charles looked at her, who smiled like an adorable little animal, and raised his eyebrow, "Of course you cook better."

Suddenly embarrassed, Maria pulled back her hand and pouted, "You're so tactless! Maid Heather is here. Can't you just say both of us cook well?"

Charles reached out and Maid Heather handed over a big bag of snacks.

"Ha-ha, Mrs. Smith, when Young Master Smith said you're better at cooking, he was just trying to please you. I wouldn't be unhappy."

Maria laughed awkwardly and changed the subject, "Let's watch some TV shows. We've got nothing better to do."

After a glance at Maria and Charles, Maid Heather returned to her room with a beam. She didn't want to be a third wheel.
