Chapter 57

The next day, in Nathan's residence, Hilda had slept till late. When she woke up, it was past lunch time. Sitting on the bed, she looked around the room. It took her a moment to recall that they had arrived home in the middle of the night after leaving the birthday party.

Memories about what happened at the birthday party and how Nathan escorted Gloria into her house came flooding back into her mind. She smiled bitterly as she looked around.

She got up and freshened up before heading down stairs for lunch. When she got down stairs, she was treated with the sight of Nathan walking back home from outside. He had lots of shopping bags with him.

Hilda took a look at him and ignored him walking straight into the kitchen. When Nathan saw this, he frowned. Although he had expected this, he was a little optimistic that Hilda would be in a good mood when she wakes up.
