When she woke up the first thing Camilla knew was that her tongue was all swollen up and it was stuck to the roof of her mouth and everything was swollen up and paining and she wanted to drink water. But she could not open her eyes. It was like something had taped them shut and her lids were glued shut. She wished she could groan but not even the sound came out of her throat.
She could hear sounds coming to her ears but she did not know what it was. She knew one thing that she could not move and that something was binding her. And this sheer thought made her open her eyes and she banged her head to something and cried out in pain.
