18: Home Again
Jillie's POV
I couldn't wait to get off this plane and home. The trip was fantastic. I loved going to the beach and the botanical gardens. That was my favorite part of the entire trip. I lay back in my chair. We'd been in the air for about almost seven hours. Another hour and I'd be home and in my own bed. I missed my parents.
"What are you thinking about?"
I turned to look at Jarren. "Being home."
"Someone was homesick."

Jarren's POV I pulled back instantly, fangs immediately retracting. What had I done? I got off of her and walked over to the window, opening it just a bit. I needed some fresh air. I needed to air her scent and the smell of her blood out of the room. I turned back to look at her, and she was holding three fingers to her neck. Jillie's POV"Jilliannah." I jumped so hard it felt like I'd pulled something. I looked behind me, and Nunny was sitting under a gazebo. She motioned for me to come over. I walked slowly toward her. I sat on the bench beside her."What's the matter, dear?" Once again, I felt compelled to tell her, but what exactly was I supposed to say? Tell her that the guy I was in love with was a vampire, and I didn't know. Tell her that even though he wasn't human, I couldn't make myself stop thinking about him. I turned off the shower and wrapped a towel around myself. I dried off and slipped on my yellow panties and bra before putting the towel in the hamper and walking out of the bathroom.
