Kat felt her legs go weak so she stepped back and sat down on the sofa. Her face was deathly pale, much to Dean's dismay. He immediately sat down next to her and clasped her hands, trying to warm her hands which were suddenly cold as ice, secretly grateful that Kat didn't refuse.

“I'm sorry I have to hurt you like this, Kat.” 

Dean looked deeply at Kat. It hurt his heart to see the pain there, in Kat's eyes, knowing the truth about her. Hurting Kat was the last thing Dean wanted. He loved Kat; all he wanted was her happiness. However, to be able to love Kat without being blamed, Dean is forced to reveal all the truth, even though it will tear her feelings apart.
