Cam POV

"Cameron what are still doing here" my mom asked when I came downstairs "don't you have to go pick up my chocolate bunny"

"Nawl she riding with Roxy to school"

"Oh okay well have a good day I love you"

"I love you too you have a good day at work" I said before walking out and getting in my car

This summer was lit asf, I didn't even really do much but just spending time with Alaina was lit. Before I could even start my car up there was a knock on my passenger window to see my new next door neighbor Diamond

"Yo" I said rolling my window down

"I missed the bus could you take me to school please my parents left for work and I don't want to walk"

I thought about it for a second "yeah sure but this a one time thang I ain't no uber" I pulled my phone out and quickly texted Alaina letting her know that I was giving Diamond a ride so she wouldn't think anything happened

"Thank you Cam" she said putting her seatbelt on and putting her book bag on the car floor

I backed out of my driveway and started driving hoping that there was no traffic so I could hurry up and get to school and get this girl out my car

"How was your summer" she asked I guess trying to start a conversation

"It was cool just spent time with my girl" making sure she knew I was taken so she wouldn't get any ideas

"Oh that's cool your girlfriends name is Alaina right"

I nodded my head already tired of this "small talk"

"She's pretty"

"Yeah thanks"

The rest of the car ride there was quiet except for the radio. When we finally pulled up to the school she thanked me again then got out the car. I could see Chynna, Sam, Tamara and Tanaji all staring her down then whispering to each other

I shook my head and walked to the entrance of the school looking for Alaina, I assumed she wasn't here yet so I went back to my car and sat on it talking to my niggas

"Hey Cam" I sighed as soon as I heard her voice

"What Chynna" I said turning around and staring at her

"I see you and Alaina didn't last long you went right to light skins huh"

"Me and Alaina are doing just fine even though it's none of your business about our relationship"

"When you're ready to come back to me I'll be waiting" she said walking away I swear that girl can't catch a damn hint don't nobody want her

"Hey Cammy" I heard Alaina yell

I walked over to her hugging her and giving her a kiss "wassup what took y'all so long" I said as we walked in hand in hand

"Roxy the Rocket scientist couldn't find her book bag then after looking for 15 minutes she realized she left it at home"

"Hey I forgot it sue me" Roxy said

"Oh I want to sue you for wasting my time" Alaina said glaring at Roxy who stuck her tongue out.

We all walked to the front office to get out schedules

"Can you believe this will be the very last time we come up here for a schedule" Roxy said

"I know right, it feels surreal" Alaina agreed

"Ion know bout all that, but what I do know is that I'm happy that it's my last year in this hell hole" I said as we got our schedules

"Yeah but I think I'll miss the fun times we had here" Roxy said "what classes you guys got"

"Civics, Math, English and Spanish 2" Alaina said proudly

"Smart girl" I said kissing her forehead

"Okay lovebirds don't make this weird" Roxy said "but who do you have for Spanish 2"

"Um Mrs. Sanchez"

"Yay we have that class together and also lunch no surprise there"

"I got Spanish with her too so both of y'all gone be helping me" I said looking at them "cause I'm horrible at that shit, I barely passed last year" I said shaking my head whose idea was to make us take two foreign language classes

"Yeah you barely can speak proper English and their trying to make you speak another language" Alaina said making Roxy laugh

"Oh you got jokes now"

"Many jokes but Spanish is the last class of the day so hopefully she's chill"

"Nope I heard she's mean asf and doesn't allow the class to do make quizzes, tests nothing you make a bad grade you're stuck with it" Roxy said as we walked around a bit waiting for the bell

"Oh gosh doing make up work is what got me through all these years" I said

"All we have to do is work hard and study harder then we won't have to do make ups" Alaina said

Me and Roxy stared at her "or we can cheat"

"Yep I'm with that" I said nodding my head

"It was a joke" Alaina said

"But I'm forreal a class that cheats together passes together" I said "that's my motto"

"What's your motto" we all turned to see where the voice was coming from I mentally groaned it was Diamond

"Hi" she said holding her hand out to Alaina "my name is Diamond and you must be Alaina"

"That's me" Alaina said shaking her hand

"I've heard so much about you"

"I wish I could say the same um who are you, not trying to be rude or anything"

"Oh I'm Cams neighbor he practically saved my life earlier"

"Is that so" Roxy said tilting her head

"Well that's Cam a regular old hero" Alaina said

"Look I'm not trying to start anything it's just I'm new here and I don't know anyone, I'm just trying to make friends"

Alaina and Roxy were both quiet for a second, they looked at each other having a silent conversation before looking at Diamond and smiling

"I'm sorry you just kind of caught us off guard, I'm Alaina but you know that and this is..."

"Her absolute best friend and the whole world Roxy" Roxy said shaking Diamonds hand

"Nice to meet you guys"

"Well Lainy my class is on the other side of the school so you want me to walk you to your class" I said

"Oh no it's fine go head I don't want you to be late" Alaina said giving me a hug and kiss

"Alright peace out"

"Ayo what up cam" Dashawn said dapping me and we started walking to class.
