Chapter 16

Anna hobbled into the landscaping shop while lugging the final box of plants from the trunk of her car. When she finally set the box down inside the shop, she let out a sigh of relief. Even though she enjoyed going to the flower market and picking out different varieties of flowers, she did not mind getting up at the crack of morning. Anna congratulated herself on a job well done before making her way to a bench equipped with two sinks, a kettle, and some much-needed coffee.

Because she had only had a few hours of sleep the night before, she had little trouble getting started this morning, but it was starting to catch up to her now. It was a blessing that she was able to sit down at the desk and take a revitalizing sip of coffee. In the bright daylight, everything had a considerably more favorable appearance.
