Chapter 15

Stanley walked around the lake and start surveying the place. There’s seriously no one around here and the place was very quiet, so eerie enough to give him goosebumps. His feet led him to a path going into the forest. Stanley look at the forest and thought that it might be the way out. Well if not then where?

Stanley shrugged and finally turned to walk into the wild. On the way he was welcomed with dark green leaves of a pine tree making the place seems gloomy. The path is wide ahead and could fit a car if he measured it by that.

After walking for half an hour, Stanley heard a rattling sound ahead. He quickly hid himself behind the tree on the roadside and waited for the arriving sound to show itself.

Few moments after, he saw five carriages arriving into the woods. What are they doing here? Stanley peeked from the tree and saw the carriages going towards the direction of the lake.
