Finding Darkness…PART TWOHe pulled out his phone and tried taking pictures again, but still nothing showed up. This lead him to the conclusion that either the engraved scroll was spelled or that the scroll was magically engraved into the wall. This meant that only the supernatural could see it or the scroll could only be seen in person. The other problem he ran into was because of the way the scroll was written, Johnathan couldn’t tell where the scroll started and where it ended. He felt his strength weaken and went to the backpack. He pulled out some protein bars and a bottle of water. He stared at the scroll while he ate hoping at least one of the answers would come to him.One of the symbols kept catching his eye. He felt like he had seen the symbol before and then he smacked himself. The symbol was on one of the handwritten scrolls. He downed his bar and started rummaging through the scrolls, until he came across one with the symbol. He was right, the symbol on the wall and the o
Hidden Message…It didn’t take Sally very long to find all the words and symbols that were repeated in the scrolls. Only three of the items had been translated. The word for hold the, the symbol for obtain, and the symbol for darkness. She added the translations to her notes along with how many times each were repeated. The library wasn’t much help. They were only able to translate bits and pieces of the remaining scrolls. There wasn’t enough to make even an assumption of what the scrolls said. It seemed translating the rest of the scroll would prove more difficult than they first thought. They would have to move onto the next closest library, which was three hours away. Sally cursed under her breath. “Damnit.”They all stopped and looked at her. She forgot other super naturals had super hearing. “This has been disappointing.” Sally said, as she closed the book. “Let’s clean up, grab a bite, some supplies, and head toward the next library. We will rest up there.” She stood up grabbin
FRUSTRATION…Sally felt like her mind was racing at a hundred miles an hour. She sighed heavily and decided to take a shower. She walked into the bathroom, got undressed. She turned on the shower, stepped under the water, and let the steam from the spray soothe her muscles. She didn’t hear the bathroom door open. She was in deep thought until she felt hands on her hips. She grabbed the hands and pulled one hand between her legs and the other one to her boob. She then reached behind her and grabbed the ass. She could tell it was Owen from the way his cheeks felt, and he is the only one who would have the courage enough look at her naked let alone touch her in this way. Owen had bronze colored skin, short spiky dark hair with hunter green eyes. He was all muscle and stood about a foot and a half taller than Sally. He was a special witch one that could teleport, but he only learned he had this ability.Owen brought his lips to her neck and began to slowly caress and gently bite it. “You
TRANSLATION COMPLETE… Sally and the rest of her team made it to the outer borders of Nezerra’s pack and found a place to camp. She tried to send Johnathan a message, but there was no signal, so she sent him a magical one instead. She told him that they were close, had set up camp about 5mins east of the pack border and would make their way to him the next day. Johnathan got the message and sent a reply. “Patrol may have doubled on border be careful and watch for traps.” He couldn’t help but feel excited, soon he would not be stuck in the cave, and he could continue his search for the darkness. He would soon learn that everything he needed to obtain the darkness would be right in front of him. The next morning Sally was the first one awake. She decided to do some recon of the area. She Astro projected and moved closer to the border. She wasn’t liking what she was seeing. Nezerra did more than double the border patrol and he had more men and women than they originally thought. The bo
LET THE GAMES BEGIN…Felan sat in silence just staring at the cave. She knew this victory would be short-lived from the things that the Dragon God had both shown and told her. It was only a matter of time before Johnathan would find a way to break the spell, setting himself free to cause chaos and wreak havoc.“What are you thinking about?” Felan’s mother Aaliyah asked. “I have been thinking about Johnathan and the prophecy.” “Don’t worry about that today. Nezerra and the rest of the Alphas are coming up with plans for when that happens. I only left cause it was time for my shift, so go have some fun and try not to think about what is happening here. Enjoy the little things and the moments of peace that do come.”“Your right, do you know where Keyne is?” Last I saw him he was toward the clubhouse.” Felan thanked her mom and gave her a big hug before she ran off in the direction of the clubhouse. She couldn’t wait to see Keyne and have a nice relaxing run or swim or both. She needed th
KEYNE’S PLAN…He wasn’t sure if it would work, but if Makenzy could sense other’s magic, then she might be able to point where the next attack will come from. He would have to learn more about her skills later. He would have to learn how close a witch or warlock would have to be before she could sense them. He already learned that she couldn’t sense he had powers and assumed that he one didn’t have to be using magic before she sensed them. He would have to ask to be certain. If they could figure out when Johnathan’s people arrived and where they were staging, then they might be able to strike first and put an end to this before the Prophecy has a chance to come true.Makenzy walked to the meadow careful not to leave the safety of the woods on the outer edge. She crouched low and placed a hand on the ground and started to life the remnants of magic. She noticed that more than one source of magic had been used. She discarded those she already knew. The meadow was close to the cave, but
A few hours later Felan woke up to find she was surrounded by everyone she cared about. “She’s awake.” Keyne said, grabbing her hand. They all looked up from their talking to look at her. “Baby girl, thank the goddess, and thank you Bridget.” Aaliyah said. Bridget nodded and looked at Felan, “How are you feeling?” She asked. “A bit groggy but mostly thirsty. Wait, are we at the pack hospital?” she replied. Mack handed her some water, and it was a moment before somebody said anything.“We were attacked in the meadow.” Keyne answered her. Felan sipped the water as she took in what she heard. She vaguely remembered Kimiko running and being hit, but that was all. She tried to speak to Kimiko but got no response. Then she tried to sense her wolf and felt nothing. She looked at her mom and said, “Something is wrong, I can’t feel Kimiko.” “The spell I cast to undo the coma is still working. Kimiko will come back, but she needs time to heal herself. I can’t tell you how long it will take. I
DIFFICULT NEWS…“What is this about?” Sam asked. Felan waited for the door to close. She grabbed Sam’s hand and looked at her and Ashur with deep sympathy. “Felan, what’s wrong? Why are you looking at us like that?” Ashur asked her. “I don’t know how to tell you all this.” Felan said, as tears started to form in her eyes. Sam sat down on the bed and wiped the tears with her thumb.“Whatever it is, just say it.” She told her, tucking a stray hair behind Felan’s ear. The tears started flowing down her face. “It’s bad, it’s so bad.” She said going silent once more. She tried to form the words but couldn’t bring herself to say them out loud. Skylar grabbed her hand and said. “Let me see if I can help.”She was trying to cast a calming spell, but she could feel it wasn’t going to work. She decided to search Felan’s mind. She didn’t like what she found, and the sight was so horrific that it made Skylar gasped and lose focus. She let go of Felan’s hand and looked from her to the newlywed cou
