“Where is your mate? Going to Canada without her.” Shaba asked. Mack’s hand went to his Mark before answering. “Dead, rogue attacked.” Mack lied in case Shaba remembered him. “Losing a mate is hard.” Shaba tells him. “Usually, the mark fades after a mate passes or is rejected.” Shaba says eyeing him suspiciously “Was that recent too?” Shaba asked.
“About 48 hours ago.” Mack says clinching his fist. “Damn banned and lot your mate, now that is rough.” Shaba tells him. “Given no time to mourn. However, there is something about you that I can’t quite put my finger on.” Shaba says when Mack’s phone rang. “What do you need from us exactly?” Mack asks while Lincoln laid continuing to get his fur fluffed. “I need you to remain here with Felan until the day you may return to your mate. Keep her safe and seeing a face she recognizes will help keep her calm. CHAPTER 29 Mack and Felan made pizzas while Nezerra, Tanner, Jake, Keyne, and Ashur watched. After they made the first one, Mack looked over at Keyne and asked. “You want to help with the next one?” Keyne looked at his father with pleading eyes. Nezerra nodded and jumped up saying “Thank you Dad.” He ran over and washed his hands before going to the other side of Mack. The three take turns tossing dough at each other. One would roll it out. The other would Start to thin it out while Mack would finish and put it on the pan. Next Felan had the sauce and would go around pouring it in the middle of each dough.
