"What was that all about in there?" Crayvin asks me once he fastens his seatbelt, jabbing his thumb back towards the station.

I exhale, wondering the same fucking thing as I stare out the windshield and buckle myself up.

"Your guess is as good as mine." My eyes drift to him as I shrug my shoulders and turn the key, bringing the engine to life. "He asked me if you knew something? But I have absolutely no clue as to what he is talking about."

Crayvin gives me a side glance, studying me as he blows out his cheeks. "Is there something you aren't telling me?" His voice is so tremulous when he asks.
