28. Kathy Against Wolf

The iron bars separating the wolf from Kathy were hoisted upward by a hemp rope, and Laura tossed a knife down to Kathy from above her head, just as she had done when seeking help from Kathy.

Gazing at the knife, Kathy found it ironic that what she had once done to Laura was now being done to her. However, given the circumstances, she had no choice but to accept this fact. As the iron bars were instantly removed, she quickly grabbed the knife and faced the approaching wolf, swinging it to keep it at bay. But the wolf's strength was immense, and as a weak woman, she could not possibly fight it off for long. She soon found herself on the defensive.

After swinging the knife for an extended period, Kathy's strength gave out, and she could only endure the wolf's bites. Each time she was tormented to the point of unconsciousness, the excruciating pain would force her back to reality.
