Death III
Third Person’s POV
The moonless night allowed the darkness to deepen, and even shadows could not be seen to the scattered soldiers of the Royal Ark Clan that are now cleaning up the breathless bodies of the clansmen of the Blood Wolves clan.
Each cold body of the children, women, elderly and the warriors are piled up like small hills at the central square where Priestess Eva’s body lays.
The trail of blood and the burnt down buildings around the central square added to the gloom of the darkest night that have ever happened to the peaceful-loving Blood Wolves clan.
The sounds of bodies scraping the ground seems more prominent as the blessed land quieted down with the last bouts of killings to those member of the Blood Wolves clan that have managed to escape to the edge of their lands but were unable to leave due to their intense loyalty.
Soran curled down on the rough ground of the dark tunnel as he tried to clutch at the soil with his already mangled hands. The honest-looking man is now wearing a twisted expression full of frustration and grief.
After knowing that their lady Asha pushed him down the tunnel without a word, Soran did not stop to think of the reason as he tried to go back out to forcefully carry Asha to escape, but he could not even move from his current position as if his entire body is glued to the ground.
Asha Blood as the hailed next priestess of the Blood Wolves clan is also a special existence in her own right even without the golden drop of blood from the Moon goddess.
The land of the Wolves is a wondrous land that is full of mystery. And the development of the werewolves since the first creations is full of change and evolution.
There are werewolves that managed to awaken a special aspect of their physique that allows them to have a unique standing in their clans or kingdoms.
Some exaggerated abilities might be from the distortion of rumors, but there are really werewolves that are cut above the rest. And some of them are even recorded in the historical scripts of each of the clan and forces that they came from.
Asha Blood is an example of such an individual. She was born under the full bloodied moon, and she found out her own uniqueness through an accident when she was just six years old.
The little Asha was a handful, and she likes to climb trees followed by the little Soran.
Scratching her arm on the sharp branch of the tree that instantly drew blood, Asha stumbled and when she was about to fall from the two meter high tree, the feeling of weightlessness assaulted her little body as the blood that is flowing from her small wound attached itself on the trunk of the tree as if it could perceive her current crisis.
Blood manipulation, that is what Priestess Eva called Asha’s special ability, and it is an ability that have never appeared in the ancestors of the Blood Wolves clan which set an unprecedented wave on the clan leader and the main family.
After all, most of the awakened special abilities of the chosen werewolves were entirely passed down from the time of their ancestors which allowed the slim chance of such special abilities to land on their descendants.
But they understood that it could not be known to even their trusted partner, so it might be the only secret of the Blood Wolves clan that is unknown to the Royal Ark Clan.
Soran is one of the few that is aware of Asha’s ability, and seeing his own blood that is tightly caging him to the ground, a silent roar of despair rumbled through his heart.
Asha did not want Soran to die, but she did not know that her action of going back alone to die is also a way to swallow the latter’s only hope of living.
After all, Soran has been living his life as Asha’ personal servant and guard since was young, and as an orphan from one of the side branches of the clan, Soran only felt the warmth and care of a relative from Asha’s family.
How can he live the following days if he is unable to ensure Asha’s safety? And how can he go to the afterlife peacefully to face Asha’s parents, brothers and relatives if he failed to protect her at the only time that he needed to do so?
Soran felt suffocated at his chaotic thoughts, and the tight binding force of his own blood slowly pushed him to unconsciousness.
And in the grassy slope, Princess Regina is currently wrapping her arm with a clean white cloth to stop the bleeding as her ferocious face turned to the struggling Asha a few meters away.
She did not think that the weak and fragile-looking Asha would suddenly go crazy enough to wound her. A surging feeling of humiliation pressed down on Princess Regina’s chest as she gritted her teeth with extreme hate leaking out of her entire body.
Princess Regina wants Asha to die by a thousand cuts. After all, Princess Regina never imagined herself being wounded by a trash like Asha that does not have her own wolf form. It feels so shameful that she wants to torture Asha to death.
The Blood Wolves clan and the Royal Ark clan has been existing peacefully since their first ancestors, and the fact of every Priestess of the Blood Wolves clan is devoid of their own wolf form which in turn makes them unable to find a mate in their lifetime is not a secret to Princess Regina.
In Selestine, finding a mate through their soul connection is the purest and greatest treasure that any werewolf could ask for. But, finding a mate is also the hardest thing to do in the vast lands of Selestine. And even with the low chances of finding a mate, Princess Regina could only laugh mockingly at the zero chances of all of the Priestess of the Blood Wolves clan.
They could not even have the chance to find one because they do not even have their own wolf form.
Such a life, even the ruthless Princess Regina feels that they are pitiful. Of course, all of this pity evaporated into thin air as soon as she saw their ravishing faces that could throw her own beautiful face in the mud.
Princess Regina drew out a sneer as she thought of the pitiful life of Priestess Eva and Asha.
She walked closer to Asha, and looked down on the latter’s struggling appearance of trying hard to breath back the life that is living her body.
“Such a pitiful life…wouldn’t it be better to just go die and never reincarnate?”
Princess Regina softly uttered as she crouched down to whisper a few words on Asha’s ears while smiling devilishly.
Asha’s dark pupils fluctuated like a stormy wave as she tried to let out a sound, but the slender white hand of Princess Regina ruthlessly grasped her throat as a crisp sound of breaking bones sounded in the surroundings.
Erased Third Person’s POV In a place far away from Artemia, inside a small room with only a small wick of candle as the source of light, a tall and noble-looking man stumbled as he supported his weight on the table next to him. An inaudible groan escaped the man’s thin lips that is turning paler by the second followed with his own complexion. A hint of confusion flickered on the pupils shining with the light of the candle in the dark as he seems to be clueless of what is happening to him. The feeling of weakness came over his entire body without any signs, and it almost swallowed his reasons as the pain that followed seems to be coming from the depths of his soul. It is similar to the feeling of death, but the man could not guess the reason of his body’s sudden strangeness as the weakness and pain also disappeared as quick as it came. At the flash of dawn, the chaos in the blessed lands of the Blood Wolves clan finally abated, but the
LifeThird Person’s POVSoran mourned for Asha and the rest the Blood Wolves clan members that have lost their lives unjustly in just a night. He carried Asha’s cold body to the temple of the Blood Wolves clan that is especially built for the Priestess. Sweat trickled down his pale and haggard face as he single-mindedly continued his trek with pupils blended in darkness. The warm touch of the morning sun did nothing to alleviate the coldness that is currently occupying his heart and soul.Soran has never felt so useless and pained. King Regor is currently seated on his throne as he looked down at the officials of the kingdom and werewolf clan leaders of the of the thirty strongest clans in Artemia. The full moon is approaching in less than a week, and it has been a tradition of every werewolf living in Selestine to celebrate the night while giving respects to the Moon goddess in the plane of the gods.King Regor’s neutral expression does not show any of his thoughts, but he has long felt the discontent of needing to worship someone who is not even living in this land.“Your majesty, our clans has already started to cooperate in accordance with the celebration ritual of worship, and even the precious herbs to be used lighting the moon flames are now on the way to be delivered here from the deep canyons in the south.”One of the
Change Third Person’s POV Selestine, the land of the wolves is a vast and verdant land filled with towering mountains and snaking forests. The Moon goddess created his beloved werewolf race while allowing them to occupy Selestine with freedom to slowly build their own civilization. Four kingdoms gradually emerged from the nomadic and scattered tribes of the first werewolves, and they individual clans formed as the kingdoms progressed to the right track. Artemia Kingdom is situated at the central part of Selestine, Fressia Kingdom that was made up of the Arctic wolves rooted themselves up in the north, and the west and east is the territory of the Black and White Kingdom that adheres to their own beliefs without much love for their creator. But, the two kingdoms still follows the inherent celebration of the full moon while worshipping the Moon goddess along with their own invented gods. The Black Kingdom in the west is a kingdom filled with wild and ag
Change IIThird Person’s POVFour days passed in the blink of an eye and it is already the time of the full moon celebration for all of the werewolf clans in Selestine. The hot rays of the sun did not diminish the enthusiasm of the citizens of Artemia as they prepared for the worship ritual by following their ancestors to fill their homes and roads with lamps designed like small moons and stars. The light of the day could not fully show the breathtaking beauty of these lamps and lanterns, and it will shower Artemia and the other kingdoms with shimmering brilliance as soon as the night descends. But all of the joy and enthusiasm of the full moon celebration does not include Asha.It has been four days since she left the blessed land of the Blood Wolves clan, but she is only at the outskirts of the south of Artemia Kingdom. Full MoonThird Person’s POVWind whistled past the carriage as it ambled swiftly through the dust-filled road accompanied by the rushing hooves trampling down the scattered grasses of the capital city’s outer periphery. It has been five hours since Asha sat inside the narrow space at the back of the carriage that is full of secured wooden crates. She could not even feel her own body anymore due to the numbness, but her mind is not even focused on the pain that used to be unbearable to her on a daily basis as it floated faster than her to the capital where the Royal Ark clan’s ancestral home is situated.A ball of regret could not be diminished in her heart as she thought of the fact that she is unable to do anything when her enemies are just close at hand.A sudden stop caused the carriage to shake as the sounds of neighing rang loudly in the air with the boisterous voices of the middle-aged uncle and his subordinates.&ld
Full Moon IIThird Person’s POVThe cacophony of chants seems to flow in the hearts of the citizens as they all bowed down to the full moon. The crackling sounds of the silver flames served as the background noise as the offerings inside the giant cauldron turned into wisps of ashes that suddenly floated out of its mouth before being carried by the wind to be scattered into the vast land of Selestine.King Regor looked around his citizens to see their blind faith to the Moon goddess. He could only swallow the feeling of dissatisfaction while imagining the day that he will also receive this kind of worship.King Regor’s tall figure suddenly shifted as sounds of bones popping could be heard, and it did not take a couple of seconds for a huge brown wolf to appear in the center of the square. King Regor’s wolf form issued a humming growl coming from the depths of his throat before mightily raising his head to howl upwards to the vast skies,
