66 The Strike

Lunch came exactly at the time it should, and Tim brought the tea in a flask. I waited for him to bring Sabrina before we ate.

"Thank you for having me, Luna," she said smiling, and I smiled back at her. I took the flask and a teacup and served her the tea. Her smile dropped, realising what I was doing, and I smiled at her.

"You do not expect me to drink this without knowing it is completely safe," I said and handed her the teacup, " Bottoms-up," I said, and she took the tea from me with a shaky hand and gulped it down in one goal.

We waited for forty-five minutes, and nothing happened, so Tim offered to go next, but he was too valuable to lose, so I sent for one of the blood enforcers at my door to taste the tea. He claimed to feel incredible after thirty minutes, and I realised the tea was not wolfsbane or poisonous. The food was cold already, but I intended to warm it up with sun magic, so it meant nothing.
