What Lurks Around the CornerTHE MOMENT THEY arrived into the battlefield, Selene was immediately distressed with the amount of bodies scattered across the place and the blood that splattered and painted the ground. CHAPTER 29.4Val’guz WHEN SELENE AND LUCAS’ troupe joined the battle, Captain Favian and the others were surprised. But then again, they can’t do anything since they’re already here and they are well informed of how grave the situation is inside the fog. CHAPTER 29.5Movement “MERLIN’S DOWN! Everyone, get the priests here!” Ito ang pinakaunang isinigaw ni Lucas noong oras na rumehistro sa kanilang lahat ang pagbagsak ni Merlin sa lupa. CHAPTER 30.1Flustering Conversation JUST LIKE WHAT Lucas mentioned, their ‘rest’ wasn’t even an actual break. Masaya silang wala nang kalaban ang humaharang sa daraanan nila’t malaya silang nakakapaglakbay patungo sa kaharian ng Izquierdo. Aside from the bandits that would occasssionally attempt to rob them, whereas they always end up getting chased away, their travel to the aforesaid Kingdom was peaceful. Nag-aalala si Selene pero dahil alam niyang kaya wala pa rin itong malay e dahil nagamit nito lahat ng mana nito kakakalaban ng isang unexpected variable. CHAPTER 30.2Mischief THE DAY THEY got inside Izquierdo Kingdom’s territory, that’s when things began to turn upside down. The peace died down and they were occasionally attacked by more bandits and some knight troupes. This is done in order to hold them back and if any of those people are lucky, they could struck her down— dead. Then, it’ll be automatically the Demelza family’s win. But this tactic is too... shallow and weak. Hindi maramdaman ni Selene kung gaano kaseryoso ang sitwasyon at tila ba wala talagang banta sa buhay niya. CHAPTER 30.3 To the Princess’ Devastation HINDI MABILANG NI Selene kung ilang beses siyang napalunok habang pinagmamasdan si Prinsesa Luan sa pinakaitaas ng curtain wall. She’s been sweat dropping and she’s been gesturing everyone not to move from where they’re standing on. If not, something terrible might happen to the Princess of Izquierdo. Mahina siyang napamura—hindi niya maalala kung paanong naging ganito ang twist ng events. Halos kadarating lamang nila noon sa harap ng kaharian. CHAPTER 31.1Mix-Up IT’S BEEN A DAY and they haven’t talked yet. Noong mag-usap sila ni Prinsesa Luan, ang buong akala ni Lucas ay makakapag-usap kaagad sila ni Selene tungkol sa gagawin sa dalaga ngunit umiwas ito sa kanya. Nakailang beses din siyang naghanap ng oportunidad na pag-usapan ang gagawin sa dalaga nang sabihin nitong siya ang bahala dahil siya ang fiancée nito at naiintindihan daw ni Selene na malaki ang galit ni Prinsesa Luan sa dalaga dahil hindi naman talaga masisira ang relasyon nilang dalawa kung hindi dahil sa pagdating nito. Lucas wanted to retort that that’s not the case since in the first place, he never harbored any feelings toward Princess Luan and if ever that their marriage continued, it’d be nothing but a loveless relationship. CHAPTER 31.2Argument BEFORE THEY COULD reach the city, a war immediately began and they were out here defending themselves while also paving a way for themselves. They can’t lower their guards for the fear of ending up acting carelessly since even though they’re faced with weaker opponents, that doesn’t mean that they could rest easy and wallow in the feeling of relaxation and confidence. If they don’t pay attention, they could be killed and it can’t be called ‘luck’ if their guards weren’t raised in the first place. It’ll be their own fault if they die in the midst of battle. In the midst of paving their way to the castle, they regrouped. Sa ikalawang pagkakataon, magkasama na naman sina Selene at Lucas sa iisang grupo ngunit sa pagkakataong ito, kasama rin nila si Merlin at Sir Fernandez.
