CHAPTER 33.3What’s Beyond Darkness AS THEY WERE on their way to continue searching for Merlin and their other knights, all of them stopped when they felt rumbling under the floor. The earth beneath them was shaking, grumbling, it was as though the imprisoned god suddenly decided to throw a fit and they feel that something’s approaching them. Nagkatinginan sina Lucas, Selene, at Chief Knight Lyte. Mayroon siyang pakiramdam na hindi patungo sa kanila ang nararamdaman na panganib pero malakas din ang pakiramdam ni Selene na iyon ang makakatulong sa kanila na maituro ang kinaroroonan ng mga nawawala nilang kasama. But then, these rumbling noises bring her war flashbacks. CHAPTER 33.4End of Game MERLIN DID WHAT HE was told to do. He summoned the Goddess of Light and burrowed a bit of their energy to be able to see what was waiting for them inside the left and right rooms which doors suddenly busted open. The Goddess of Light doesn’t look like someone who’s wearing these majestic and elegant clothes in her head. She doesn’t look human with long brown hair with curls at the end, porcelain skin, and a really beautiful face. Instead, the Goddess looked like a small pink pixie but without the wings and she’s wearing a leaf while dancing around the place. Her aura’s bright and she looks like a firefly from afar but they can still distinguish her features. She’s cute. She looks like an Earth nymph but she isn’t. CHAPTER 34.1Oath to Self THE SMIRK ON SELENE’S lips can’t be erased when they reached the end of the path and the door swung open all by itself, as if it’s been waiting for their arrival. None of them stopped walking either. All of them proceeded to the end until they found themselves inside King Morfran’s throne room. This extravagant room that should’ve belonged to her parents. All these porcelain tile and marbled floor would be splattered in blood. Screams of anguish would probably domineer this room and this would be where their victory or lose would be decided. CHAPTER 34.2Not HumansTHERE’S SOMETHING WRONG about these knights and it’s impossible not to notice. They are mere humans and yet, with their small number — the numbers of these knights are just six while Selene’s group are seven in total — she can’t help it but to feel like something doesn’t sit right. How can mere humans stand against seven vampires? The fact that they’re exhibiting the same strength during their attacks and counters are also suspicious. They could cancel Merlin’s spell without breaking a sweat and disrupt with their plan to get near King Morfran to end these war. Are they really up against mortals? Or are they just being deceived by their outer appearance? Androids, humans possessed by demons, werewolves, angels, beastmen— there’s a huge possibility that they’re fighting against another race but the way Selene sees it, they do not belong to any supernatural races! But how can they be this talented? Even she can’t believe that humans this strong wouldn’t exist
