Aurora leaned against the cold metal locker, her heart burning in shame and regret as she watched as Art walked away.

She felt like the most despicable person in the whole universe and there was just no stopping her guilt from eating at her.

It was too cruel to wait here, wondering what he was doing with his girlfriend. She felt lower than dirt; she had always been someone who had been moral and straight, always, and now here she was, cheating on another girl. It was despicable and she had this urge to sit down and cry. But what good would it do?

She had already depreciated herself, and in her stupidity, him. Art, she knew, wasn't the type of guy who would cheat and she knew how he would feel right now.

She hated herself for doing that to him. This wasn't the way this was supposed to be. This wasn't supposed to be full of regret and fear and shame.
