Guilty

“I have to get you out of here,” Nicholas said, he sounded tired but determined, his appearance looked disheveled and his hair looked like he had ran his fingers through those strands, one too many times.

He sat at the edge of the bed while Rain lay down, she had just finished eating and taken her pills…that was when the weight of every scrape and break of her body finally hit her.

Her ribs hurt so badly that she found it hard to breath, her entire skin felt like it was on fire, her eyes burned like they had been scratched up by a wild cat and her head pounded so hard…so fucking hard!

The nurse said she gave her some painkillers and antibiotics, Rain honestly wished that they would start working immediately. So she forced herself to eat just so they would work properly.

The nurse had called Nicholas up not long after she’d brought her food and a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice. Her blonde hair pulled up into a tight professional bun and that stern expression on her face.
