Chapter 50 The Persistent Vampire

Side-eyeing the vampire my stupid heart began thumping loudly in my ears. Frowning, I closed my eyes when Lucian asked if he may sit next to me.

"Go ahead, the space is not occupied," I mumbled sourly. He smiled and moved next to me. I watched him clasp his hands as he sat back. His scent encompassed me making it difficult to focus on anything I was thinking.

"Tell me about yourself, Nia. Our relationship was rather sudden and I failed to court you as a male should," Lucian said softly. I glanced over at him with a raised brow.

"A quick relationship doesn't seem probable due to me already having two of your children," I muttered briskly, causing him to chuckle.

"I am leery of bloodsuckers even being half of a vampire. I find them untrustworthy and scary," I added and Lucian shrugged.

"You are more vampire than werewolf, princess and when we return to your real father you will discover that," he said pointedly. I swallowed uncomfortably and exhaled deeply.
