Wilson quickly tried to release himself from the thin, yet surprisingly thick layer of ice for the second time. The ice was already lowering his body temperature and making him feel numb. He gathered his strength and began cracking the ice slowly but surely. As it turned out, the ice was a lot thicker than it seemed on the surface. Jim, on the other hand remained kneeling and even though he was almost done shaving off the cold snow-reinforced ice from his body, he dared not move. Before him stood the magnificent snow tiger. Behind him were four loud hunters who cared nothing for his life and would not hesitate to shoot him if they as much as thought he was going to jeopardize their mission. So, what could he do except wait? Jim was really unwilling to die. He was still a virgin. The Snow Tiger definitely did not fancy some hunters ruining his fun hunt. It would have long pounced on the Intruders if it was not feeling wary of those deadly weapons they held. The short, stocky and muscul
"Aaaaaaaaaaarggghh!!" Slim yelled in agonizing pain. The Snow Tiger had suddenly appeared beside him and bitten him across his body length, before he realized it. Blood gushed out from the large tree-sized teeth punctures and Slim's body dried up almost instantly but not a drop of blood touched the snow white ground. All the blood was sucked into the tiger's mouth and then the slim, shrivelled body of the Hunter was swallowed. Just like that. Not chewed, swallowed. As if he were a bitter medicinal tablet. And these series of actions happened in less than five seconds.During that period of time, the three other hunters were stunned, frozen stiff from shock and fear and totally unable to react. They watched the tiger bite and suck their colleague like a fruity juice box before proceeding to devour the body in a single gulp. Only then, did they come back to their senses. Shorty was the first to yell."Oh Sh*t!""F*CK!" The less attractive lady exclaimed next. She rapidly sucked their du
Wilson walked while the still unconscious Jim enjoyed a piggyback ride. Or rather, he pretended to still be unconscious so as to benefit from a free ride on Wilson's surprisingly comfortable back. His well-defined muscles felt like a cushion. For hours, they continued like this. Wilson was not sure if the hunters would be able to take care of the tiger snow, so he would occasionally pick up the pace and run until finally, he was too tired to go on. By this time, it was almost night time. The sun hung, half hidden from their sight, displaying a beautiful blend of various colors. It made the sky and clouds look red, further adding to the unique beauty. The snow had stopped falling about an hour ago."It has been several hours. When do you intend to get off my back." Wilson asked Jim as he stood on a small protruded white rock and watched the sun set."What in the world do you mean?" Jim asked as he tightened his hug with a small smile on his face."Are you trying to sleep on my back?""
Jim went to sleep while Wilson took first watch. He was half filled with the hope that they were going in the right direction, although he could imagine Jim and him going in the same direction without an end to it. The feeling that came with one knowing one was lost was in many ways a terrible feeling. Thankfully, he now has a companion. He looked at the slightly snoring Jim. This was the first 'not so bad' person he had come across in a long while. Wilson sighed as he remembered all the people he had come across in the past unknown number of months and he wondered what had become of them. The scary Old cane lady, aka, Grand Elder and the other elders that wanted him dead because their brainwashing technique had gone wrong somewhere; Ruthless, who Wilson hoped was dead for the good of all of humanity but knew was most probably still alive. After all, even Wilson survived the 'interrupted space jump'; the bald old man, that betrayal bastard, that Wilson accidentally hit and also hoped
Shorty arrived, leaping and slashing down with his gigantic blade at Wilson. He was going for a one hit KO but Wilson was not a wooden training dummy. He would not just stand there and let himself get cleaved into two. He dodged two steps to the right and tried to swing his hand but Shorty was faster. Even though Shorty had missed Wilson. He, without delay ignored him for the time being and went for the wind ability user who was conjuring his fifth wind blade barely three steps away from the range of his blade.Shorty roared and swung horizontally. Quickly, Jim jumped back and at the same time, sent the five, no, four and a half wind blades at Shorty. It was barely a threat for Shorty who deftly dodged the initial near-misses, causing them to continue on towards Wilson. The angle at which the wind blades moved made it seem as if they had been thrown at Wilson instead. Like Wilson was the actual target. He dodged the blades by simply running to the side to avoid their reach. Shorty ra
Jim's snores soon became audible while the injured Wilson was already unconscious. Shorty looked at the sleeping duo in disgust. These two were too careless. Especially the wind ability user. Did they think that a stupid cage formed from a small paper card was enough to hold him down? These idiots just made his plan five times easier. The strong one was badly poisoned and was currently unconscious. Although he was no more in danger, with the risk of death looming over his head now gone, he was still too weak such that his vigilance would definitely be at an all time low and anyone or anything could easily get rid of him.And as for the one who caged Shorty with a talisman, Shorty intended to dose him, tie him up and make him open the space bag in his possession.'I will make him open and give up everything in that bag. Then, I will decide if I want to kill him slowly or quickly. Perhaps, I will make my decision based on his response to my orders. If he is slow, I will make his death s
When Wilson woke, the sun was not yet up and Jim was sleeping flat on his face with his butt raised up to the sky in a funny manner. He was even snoring. Wilson shook his head and sat up, only to see the cage with a certain someone also sleeping in an awkward manner. Shorty stood on one leg with the other leg pushing against a cage bar. His back rested on the opposite bar and his head slanted to rest on a nearby bar. It looked somewhat uncomfortable yet he made it look like a nice sleeping position. What's more, he was also snoring and when Wilson listened closely, he realized both snoring men made two distinct sounds that blended together in a certain rhythm.Shorty was snoring grandly and deeply while Jim's had a slightly lighter pitch with a small wheezing sound at the end that sounded like a whistle.Wilson looked at his bandaged hand and sighed. As much as he loved fights, he hated the fights he had been getting into. What was the point if he was always at a disadvantage and was
It was not until the third day that both wanderers saw a broken tar road which, surprisingly was not affected by the snow."The broken tar road!" Jim exclaimed in excitement when he saw the road from afar and ran towards it. His fatigue gone from excitement."What is that?" Wilson asked as he ran after Jim to take a closer look at the road."The broken tar road. History has it that a man from Tiger City had built it decades back, because he would usually get lost when travelling through the plains. So, he built it with lines and directions pointing at both ends. They say if we look closely at it, somewhere on the road is a pointer that will show us which direction Tiger City is, as well as the approximate distance." Jim explained as he ran down the road."Ah, found it! Oh, just follow the road? Wilson, we just have to follow the road." Jim yelled excitedly, waving at Wilson to follow him.And together, both of them ran along the famous broken tar road.***********Three hours later, t
