Jane didn't want to end up in Fabian's car again. She had declined several times, but Fabian always found a way for her to sit there, including using a bit of a threat regarding the results of her recent training. Yet, Jane vividly remembered the praises from Brina and Nico about what she had gone through. Jane restrained herself from complaining because this was the path she had chosen.

There was no turning back. Moreover, even if she turned back, the question of how she would support herself kept haunting her.
