Chapter 101

Celine Coleman POV

After Bryant was done eating, I cleared the table and did the dishes.

"Are you going to pass the night here?" He asked me after I took him to his room, and I bit my bottom lip.

For the next few minutes, I tried to think of something to say to him. I had no idea how I was going to explain to him, but I knew that I really had to find a way to tell him. I couldn't just leave Claire at home alone. It won't be nice of me.

"Uhm... Bryant... The thing is..." I paused then held his hand and squatted in front of him.

"You know, I told you I have been living with a friend of mine, and she's a teenager. She can't stay at home alone, and I already promised her that I would be home tonight," I cupped his cheek in my palms and tried to convince him, but the expression on his face showed that he wasn't happy with that, and not that I had expected him to be, anyway.

"I will come over tomorrow, I promise. I'm going to make it up to you," I further said, and he sighed.
