Altercation

"What's wrong Alice?" Andrew asked in confusion.

"How could you deceive me and the entire family? And what's the deal with Skylar? Why did she get involved in this?" Alice asked firmly.

Alice looked at the lavishly decorated room. She would be pleased with it if it wasn't wrapped in a lie, but now she couldn't hold back her disappointment.

"Chill, I requested Miss Brown to handle this; she's not to blame," Andrew reassured calmly, his hand on Alice's shoulder.

She forcefully removed his hand and exclaimed with heightened pitch, "However, she employed a falsehood to ensnare me."

"Baby, it's a harmless lie; why are you making a mountain out of a mole hill?" Andrew tried lovingly to persuade her, but she got madder.

"It's a lie anyway, and I hate it. I feel deceived."
