Nicholas' POV

Despite my initial surprise, I opted to let her continue before expressing my reservations about her choice of words.

"We were in a stunning garden, you and I, watching our little boy and girl play together. Everything was so perfect, from the flowers to the sunset—it was like a picture-perfect scene." She gently placed her hand on my face and smiled.

"I wouldn't embark on this journey of life with anyone else but you, and today also happens to be the best day of my life," she confessed. My heart fluttered at her words; it was simply perfect. The moment itself was flawless, rendering the words I had planned to say earlier entirely unnecessary.

Suddenly, a knock on the door startled both of us.

A voice followed, "Release the bride to us, Nicholas! For heaven's sake, you could have waited just one more day to be with her." Laura and I chuckled as we hastily got up from the bed, scrambling to put on our clothes. We didn't want to further provoke Sonia's impatience.
