Nicholas's POV:

We both looked towards the door simultaneously. I already knew what to expect and who it was, but she didn't.

She looked at me, expecting me to ask whoever it was to come in. What I was avoiding was about to unfold right in front of me. This was all her fault; if only she had left when I asked her to instead of barging in the way she did.

Before I could stand up to ask whoever brought the food to take it back, Laura was already at the door. She opened it and upon seeing who it was, she looked over at me in surprise.

"You asked for food?" she asked.

I rolled my eyes and lay back on my bed, "Of course, I asked for food. That wouldn't have happened if someone had let me eat in peace," I snapped, realizing as soon as the words left my mouth that I was acting like a 6-year-old, and that was all Laura's doing.
