92. Clarissa

I woke up feeling like my head was in a vice grip. Every time I tried to move, a sharp pain shot through my temples. I groaned, rubbing my temples and squinting at the bright light streaming through the window. It felt like a thousand tiny hammers were pounding away inside my head.

My mouth was dry and tasted like I had licked the bottom of an ashtray. I felt a wave of nausea wash over me, and I had to close my eyes for a moment to steady myself.

I remembered the whiskey from the night before. I had gotten carried away and had a bit too much to drink. I tried to get up, but my head spun and I had to cling to the bedside table for balance. This hangover was a brutal one. I needed water and aspirin, stat.

As I rubbed my eyes, I noticed something strange. There was a warm body next to me. I turned to my side and saw a sleeping Tony. He was snoring softly, one arm was thrown over his head.
