It’s been a tough couple of weeks. All was well upon returning from the past; Anja was happy, and so was Tracey. The girls couldn’t wait to run back to their family, so Adrain and I took Anja and Tracey to Beaumont Manor the day after our return.

It wasn’t ideal, but Liam was only too happy to stand in my place for a few hours. Anja had been terrified Drake had died, and she wouldn’t settle until she saw him again.

It took next to no time to reach the manor, and it seemed they’d been expecting us. Amanda stood on the front steps with Charles, James, and Briar, all waiting for the girls. It was strange to see them all dressed in modern clothing, but I realised they would be and shook off the thought.

Before the hugs were out of the way, Anja was yelling about her father and where he was. She was terrified she’d never see him again, and this caused her power to cackle. Electricity seemed to flow throughout her body, right to the ends of her wavy hair.
