I heard the arguments that emanated up the stairs and all the while I didn't say a word nor did I interfere in any of it. The stomping of feet on the hard marbled floor caused me to sit upright and in split seconds, Liana came rushing down the stairs.

There was this expression that depicted betrayal which formed on her face as she ran her hands through her tousled hair. When she caught sight of me, she opened her mouth to say something but quickly clamped her mouth shut before exclaiming.

“You were right!”

Shooting her a smile as he approached me. “Right about what?”

“I mean you were right about everything! I can't believe that I was trying to believe that Kayla changed for good. You should have heard the horrible things that she said towards me, gosh” She cradled her head in her hands.

“Well, I told you not to trust her”

“I mean, you are always right though. I should have believed you instantly, this is still so hard for me and the fact that she didn’t even feel remorseful” L
