I snap my eyes open, all my senses on high alert. Listening to whatever woke me... There it is. Footsteps. For the first time since I arrived, I hate that I'm all alone in the pack house. Even Leander prefers staying in his house. Over the weeks, he was kind enough to ask if I wanted him to move in but I didn't want to be an inconvenience. With Kaden around, I was never scared. Somehow, even when he stayed at the Cabin, he still made me feel safe. But now that he's gone, I regret not asking everyone to move in. Judging by the sound of the heartbeats, I'm guessing there are two people. It could be the guys who came over for a midnight snack- my eyes move the clock on the bedside table. It's four in the morning.
