Things changed quickly after that. Suddenly, I was the bad guy. No one wanted to listen. They accused me of being a monster and claimed I was the reason everyone had died. It didn't matter that I'd lost my family or that I had no idea what had happened. And because I didn't have any answers for them, they left. No one stopped to think that I was just as surprised as they were. After Dad died, I blacked out. To this day, I don't remember what happened. I'm ashamed and I've been feeling guilty since then. It's not something I want everyone to know much less Sophia. What if she reacts the same way the members did and leaves too? I don't want her to change the way she sees me.
