Declan’s POV

Kendall was already asleep but I was still unable to sleep as I pondered about everything going on. I couldn’t stop thinking about the whole journey. I hoped we were going to find Kendall’s mom and sisters.

She wasn’t the same person anymore and it was obvious that this was already affecting her. She seemed bothered, tired, and worried and no one could blame her for that.

They were the only family that she had and her dad wasn’t exactly helping her so it was more like she was on her own with all of this.

I rubbed her head gently, I assured myself that I’ll always be there for her no matter what happened. I was going to keep on showing up for her whenever she needed me.

I regret ever leaving Kendall alone, to begin with, she was already going through a lot and life was hard on her most of the time.
