Chapter 23

Author's POV

Elena removed the cloth from her mouth and fell on the ground. Her eyes were stuck on the killer's body. The killer was laid down there like she was dead.

Just then the door opened and Demon entered.

Elena looked at him. She tried to say something but nothing came out from her mouth.

Demon looked at Elena with shock. He saw she was shaking in fear. Several cuts on her body.

Without wasting any time, Demon ran towards her. Sitting down before her, Demon pulled her to his chest and wrapped his arms tightly around her.

Elena fists his coat and cried out in both fear relief. She feared because someone tried to kill her brother but she got relief because Demon is here.

"It is okay love. I am here now. Please stop crying" Demon whispered to her softly.

"Why you come late? I was scared. They tried to kill us" Elena complain to him while sobbing hard.

Demon felt pain in his heart hearing this.

"Forgive me, love. Please forgive me for coming late. But it was the last time
