Carden walked through the same hallway of their modern Spanish-style mansion. After days of trying to calm himself and work better than before, his father finally called him.
It was not like a call for a father who feels misery towards a son who left home but one who feels mad and impatient.
His footsteps were slow and gentle, his face was calm, but his chest was already pounding loud. It was too hard like someone was punching it over and over again and wanted him to stop and come back to his office.
It was lunchtime. He used to spend this short break to talk about little things with Dalmi but ever since that scenario, he decided to prove his father wrong.
He didn't want to hear any false accusations from his father. The thought that he said his wife was the reason behind his slacking offended him to ways he couldn't explain.
