CHAPTER THIRTEEN

The last thing I remembered was the feeling of falling, followed by the darkness that enveloped me.

"Blue, are you alright?" someone asked as I slowly regained consciousness.

I blinked, confused, trying to make sense of my surroundings. I was no longer in the art room instead, I was lying on a comfy couch, and the voices around me were filled with concern.

"What happened?" I managed to croak out.

Troy, Mary, and a few others were gathered around me. Troy looked especially worried.

"You fainted during the painting session," he explained gently.

I felt a wave of embarrassment wash over me. "I'm so sorry," I mumbled.

Mary knelt beside the couch, her hand on my forehead. "You are burning up," she said. "Let's get her back to her room to rest."

Troy agreed to help me. He gently carried me up in his strong arms, and I could not help but feel a rush of warmth at his touch. He carefully guided us to my room, where he laid me down gently on my bed. My head was still spinning from the fainting
