Ruben turned away from the window of the common room and pinned his green eyes on Keith, his closest friend and confidante.
“Who saw her? Where?” he asked. He tried to take the urgency out of his tone, but too many people have been spotting Lisa lately. It couldn't be a coincidence.
“Parker, he had just arrived from New Orleans yesterday. He believes he saw her there,” Keith said.
“Was he positive it was Lisa? Are you sure it wasn't some random redhead ?” Ruben had to be sure if he were to follow up on this information. Nothing else had panned out so far, and he wanted to avoid wasting time and money on another dead end. Unfortunately, not everyone was familiar with her scent. Hence, he could only rely on a few of his Betas to track her.
