"IT CAN'T BE!" Atlas yelled again, the situation completely dawning on him; he pulled his hair back, pacing as if possessed.

Sobs came from Iris on the ground, her shoulders shaking, her sight covered with tears, staring at space.

"There has to be a lie somewhere, Tristan," He whispered, expecting me to say something, but when I didn't, he lounged towards her, grabbing her by the shoulders and shaking her like a rag doll. "What did you do?! Spit it out?"

"Atlas, stop!"

"Stay out of this, Tristan"

"You're hurting her for no reason. She doesn't control this kind of thing."

His fingers sank into her arm, and she cried out. I groaned, holding my arm as the pain swept through me; I looked up, seeing Atlas winced. We both had felt her pain. But still, Atlas didn't let go of her until I pushed him off her and caught her before she fell back to the ground.

"You're just hurting us all, can't you see?!" I wrapped his shirt around her weary body; the only sound coming from her now was her
