Elli took a seat on the parking bench the following day, leaving the apartment as early as she can when she woke up for her safety from her husband’s wrath. She knew that cancelling his call late last night when Ronald had finally dropped her off, was the last straw. She even expected him come knocking that night but was surprised that he did not come.
She knew he was angry but somehow, she didn’t feel any guilt for what she had done last night. She had enough of feeling sorry for herself as well as his philandering ways. If he can be as bold as that, then she will also do the same especially the public doesn’t know about their marriage yet.
“I hope I wasn’t too forward a while ago,” Ronald apologized as he set down the coffee, he ordered for her. He then gave her a sheepish grin. “But I always find delight in making Kincaid lose his temper.”
