Chapter 70

SJ looked up from his plate when he noticed that Elli is moving her food around as they are having their lunch in a private room at The Flavors of Milan. He watched her for a while before finally putting down his fork and knife.

“Don’t you like the food?” He asked calmly. “You can always order again.”

Elli shook her head.

“The pasta’s great,” she answered as she leaned back on her chair.

“What’s going on, then?” SJ asked firmly as he took a drink from his glass. “If there’s nothing wrong with your food, then what’s bothering you?”

She looked at him patiently.

“You were ill-mannered to Archibald a while ago,” she finally said pointedly. “I don’t see the reason for you to be acting like that. He was grateful that the project was implemented based on what the office had shown to them.”

Hello. Sorry that I wasn't able to update much these past few days. A family member passed away and we're mourning his loss.
