It was shocking to hear Serena speak on the phone. Her voice was different and thicker. I laughed.

"Who's asking?", I replied. She was silent. Women are crazy. She had been cheating on me for as long as I can remember and had never put a sensible call through to check up on me since last year. And here she is, suddenly asking who Eleanor was.

At last, Eleanor was doing the work she was supposed to do.
