Chapter 30| Avoiding You

Alpha Vincent’s POV

It was already dark. The stars were shining above the dark horizon, and the cold breeze hit my skin. John Meyer left my mansion earlier when the meeting was over, but his daughter, Kate, insisted on staying here. She said she would stay here for a moment until the day of the second meeting with the councils happens.

That time, I was tired of arguing, so I let it pass since Kate's presence didn’t bother me at all. She was just a brat who loved strawberries and buying anything she wanted. Nothing more serious to get bothered and threatened by her.

Then, I suddenly remembered her father.

What did John Meyer say in the meeting? He was concerned about my health? Huh?! Concern my ass. It would never happen, and I could bet my life on it.

Maybe the right word for it is he was concerned about me due to his personal interest.
