“Hey man,” Elliot says as soon as he walks into the restaurant and I check my wristwatch to check the time.

“7:30!”

“Like seriously?” I question him and he scoffs as he draws the chair to take his seat.

“We agreed to meet up by 6:30 and you are showing up an hour later?” I question him feeling unimpressed by how non challant he is that he wasted my precious time.

“In my defense….” He raises his hands in defense.

“ I already had plans with my girlfriend before you called me and told me that we have a situation and that the type of situation that we have is not the type that you want to talk about over the phone,” he Justifies while I look at him waiting for him to land before I pounce on him.

“I could have just told you that I didn’t have time to meet up with you, but you made it sound urgent and I wouldn’t like you to start bull-shitting me in the nearest feature that I was not there for you when you needed me the most which is why I ran here after sorting my girlfriend
